Can you believe it?? The first international Heaven Born Pillow Kit was sold tonight at the PLIDA/SIDS Convention in Washington DC to a lovely group of women from TOKYO, JAPAN! Wow - I feel so cosmopolitan! These women are midwives from the School of Nursing in Shizuoka, Japan. They are developing a program for perinatal loss and wanted to make the pillows. How awesome is that?! The conference has been WONDERFUL - so many amazing people doing such good work. I am privileged to be a part of it. And I learned a LOT! I'm sure I'll be processing all of it for awhile and sharing things as I can. But for now, suffice it to say it was GREAT and this news was too good not to share right away!... or should I say "Sugoi!" (pronounced suh-goy) which means "great" in Japanese. That is what they kept saying about the pillows....turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so : )
